Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists perform individualized evaluations to determine areas of concerns, during which the client, family, and physical therapist determine appropriate goals to progress towards. Once the evaluation has been performed and areas of focus have been determined, an individualized treatment plan will be formulated with approval from a primary physician. The client is then ready to begin physical therapy treatment sessions.

Physical Therapy helps to improve movement to achieve the highest physical function possible. The client and family are an integral part of the therapy team.

Areas of focus may include, but not limited to the following:

  • Developmental conditions
  • Congenital (genetic) diseases or disorders
  • Acquired conditions from injury, infection, or disease
  • Neuromuscular disease or disorders
  • Musculoskeletal diseases or disorders, including orthopedic, sports injuries, and spinal deformities such as scoliosis
  • Cardiopulmonary disorders or diseases (heart and/or lung)
  • Pre/Post operative care
  • Connective tissue disorders
